Periosteal osteosarcoma

A rare type of bone cancer

Usually forms on the surface of the tibia and femur

It also can form on the surface of the ulna and the humerus

Periosteal osteosarcoma (PO) is most common in young people between the ages of 15 and 30 years old

The tumor was first described in 1959 by Lichtenstein
